October 5, 2020 - Message From the ACBSP™ President
Congratulations to DACBSP® Dr. Christine Foss! The ACA Sports Council named Dr. Foss as their 2020 Sports Chiropractor of the Year at their annual symposium last weekend. Dr. Foss has served on the ACBSP™ written exam committee, serves as the director for the NYCC CCSP® program and is the education chair for the international association FICS. The ACASC virtual symposium was a wonderful event providing CEUs for the sports chiropractic community. The ACBSP™ applauds the success of this event and we applaud Dr. Foss!
In ACBSP™ news, the ACBSP™ is most excited to announce the upcoming November 7, 2020 written exams will be remotely proctored computer-based testing (RP-CBT). This means travel to an exam site is not necessary. The exam may now be taken in the privacy of one’s own home! Remote proctoring is explained in the test registration process and ensures a secure testing process. COVID temporarily closed down the opportunity for the advancement of the CCSP® and DACBSP® testing process this past April. The ACBSP™ moved to RP-CBT to enable everyone the opportunity to continue the certification process. Registration is open---Here is the link.
In June 2020, the ACBSP™, the USA certifying body for sports chiropractic, further declared that all CCSP® and DACBSP® programs may be taken online with the sole exception of the emergency procedures class. It is becoming easier to obtain the coursework and testing to elevate your game to CCSP® or DACBSP®. Please encourage anyone interested in the field of sports chiropractic to take the coursework. This is how we can make the specialty field of sports chiropractic stronger!
